When the Arezzo ZTL is active and what the permit covers
Hours
With the day access you may drive through only in set windows: in ZTL A from 8:30 to 12:00, in ZTL B (the upper town around Piazza Grande) from 8:00 to 11:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00. In the afternoon ZTL A is closed again from 17:00 to 20:00 on weekdays, and the permit does not cover that window.
What it covers
It covers one vehicle for one day. Inside the ZTL you may stop only to load and unload, for at most 20 minutes and within the time window. It never covers pedestrian areas: to leave the car you need a car park outside the ZTL.
Who doesn't pay
In ZTL A motorbikes and mopeds circulate freely. Electric cars pay €10 instead of €15. Hotel guests are registered by the hotel, which has its own access: ask the hotel before you arrive. Vehicles with a disabled badge only need a call to the freephone 800 211155.
The fine
Entering without authorisation costs €83 to €332 (Italian Highway Code, art. 7), 30% less if paid within 5 days. The vehicle must be on the authorised list before you enter.
The rules are set by the Comune di Arezzo and can change: always check the official website.
Where the permit is valid in Arezzo
In green, the zones the permit covers: the same ones you see on the Parkito map, where you can also find parking outside the ZTL.
How the Arezzo ZTL permit works with Parkito
Three steps, and a person on our team handles the second one: no account, no Italian tax code, no SPID.

We register the plate
A Parkito operator requests the permit on the Comune di Arezzo portal for your plate and your date.

You get the receipt by email. On the day, drive through the gate: the camera finds your plate on the authorised list.
