The Comune sells a €6 day ticket, or €15 for 4 days, to anyone without a permit. Pay here with your plate and date, and we activate it on the official portal before you drive in.
- No account, no tax code
- Foreign plates welcome
- Receipt by email
Parkito is not a channel of the Comune di Bologna: we buy and register the permit on your behalf. The Comune's official channels remain available.

When the Bologna ZTL is active and what the permit covers
Hours
Cameras are active every day from 7:00 to 20:00. Outside those hours you can enter the main ZTL freely.
What it covers
The ticket covers the main ZTL. It does not cover zona T (via Rizzoli, Ugo Bassi, Indipendenza), the Università, San Francesco-Pratello and Moline ZTLs, via Azzo Gardino, bus lanes or pedestrian areas, which are monitored 24 hours a day. Parking is not included and stays paid.
Who doesn't pay
Motorbikes and mopeds enter freely. Electric cars need a permit sticker from the Comune. Since 2026 non-resident hybrids no longer get permits and pay the ticket. Hotel guests have their plate registered by the hotel.
The fine
Entering without a permit costs €83 to €332 (Italian Highway Code, art. 7), 30% less if paid within 5 days. A ticket bought after entering does not make the access valid.
The rules are set by the Comune di Bologna and can change: always check the official website.
Where the permit is valid in Bologna
In green, the zones the permit covers: the same ones you see on the Parkito map, where you can also find parking outside the ZTL.
How the Bologna ZTL permit works with Parkito
Three steps, and a person on our team handles the second one: no account, no Italian tax code, no SPID.
Pay online
Choose how long and pay by card. In the checkout form, enter your plate and entry date.
We register the plate
A Parkito operator requests the permit on the Comune di Bologna portal for your plate and your date.
Drive in
You get the receipt by email. On the day, drive through the gate: the camera finds your plate on the authorised list.
