Pistoia ZTL: no day ticket for visitors

In Pistoia you can't buy a day ticket: the Comune assesses temporary permits case by case, based on the reasons given. That's why Parkito can't sell it.

  • Temporary permits only with a reason
  • Requested through Sostare a Pistoia
  • No published price

Parkito is not a channel of the Comune di Pistoia and doesn't sell the permit here: we explain the rules and where to get it.

How to get the permit

The Pistoia permit can't be bought online, so Parkito can't buy it for you. Here's what it costs and where to get it.

When the Pistoia ZTL is active and what the permit covers

Hours

The Comune doesn't publish a single timetable for the gates: follow the sign at the entrance. The pedestrian area is closed to traffic.

What it covers

There is no ticket for visitors. Temporary permits for the ZTL and the pedestrian area are requested from Sostare a Pistoia, and the office issues them based on the reasons given.

Who doesn't pay

Police, emergency services, public services and vehicles with a disabled badge enter without a permit. Everyone else needs a permit.

The fine

Entering without a permit costs €83 to €332 (Italian Highway Code, art. 7), 30% less if paid within 5 days.

The rules are set by the Comune di Pistoia and can change: always check the official website.

Where the Pistoia ZTL is

In green, the ZTL: the same one you see on the Parkito map, where you can find parking just outside.
